What Actually Separates a Cinema Camera
The sensor inside a dedicated cinema camera isn’t necessarily better than what’s in a good mirrorless body — sometimes it’s the same chip. What’s different is everything built around it: internal raw or high-bitrate recording, better heat management for hours of continuous rolling, XLR audio inputs, ND filters built into the body, and a form factor designed to be rigged, not held.
